We're not out here selling your data or spamming you with junk. Here's what we actually do:

• Service your vehicle: Obviously. Can't fix your car without knowing what it is and what's wrong with it.
• Keep you updated: We'll call or text when your car's ready, if we find something unexpected, or if you've got an appointment coming up.
• Maintain records: For warranty purposes, service history, and honestly just good business practice.
• Process payments: You know, so we can get paid for the work we do.
• Improve our service: Looking at patterns to see what we can do better.
• Send occasional updates: Maybe a maintenance reminder or info about seasonal services. Nothing crazy, and you can opt out anytime.

We're not gonna bug you with marketing garbage unless you specifically said it's cool. We've got better things to do, and so do you.

We take security pretty seriously around here. Here's how we keep your info locked down:

• Our computer systems are password-protected and behind firewalls
• Physical paperwork stays in locked filing cabinets when not in use
• Only staff who actually need access to your info can see it
• Payment processing goes through encrypted, PCI-compliant systems
• We don't leave customer files lying around the shop floor

Look, nothing's 100% bulletproof, but we do everything reasonable to keep your stuff safe. If there's ever a breach, we'll let you know ASAP.

We're not in the business of selling your data. But sometimes we gotta share info with:

We don't hang onto your info forever, but we do need to keep some stuff for a while:

• Service records: Usually keep these for at least 7 years for warranty and legal purposes
• Payment records: Tax law requires us to keep these for a certain period
• Contact info: We'll keep this as long as you're an active customer, plus a reasonable time after
• Marketing preferences: We'll respect your opt-out choices indefinitely

Once we don't need your info anymore and there's no legal reason to keep it, we'll securely delete or destroy it.

Since we're operating in British Columbia, Canada, we follow Canadian privacy laws, particularly:

• PIPEDA: The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act
• BC PIPA: British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act

These laws give you rights over your personal info and set out how businesses like ours should handle it. We take these obligations seriously.

We might update this policy from time to time - laws change, our practices evolve, whatever. When we make changes, we'll:

• Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
• Post the new version on our website
• If it's a major change, we'll send you an email or give you a heads up somehow
